Assistance with a double Discrimination Law Suit

Ms Benson was hired to represent our company in a discrimination lawsuit that had no merit. The Plaintiff claimed Age and Race Discrimination and decided to represent herself throughout the legal process. The Plaintiff made several inaccurate statements to the judge, failed to appear on several occa...sions and failed to provide documentation to Ms. Benson within two separate court appointed time frames. Many times I felt the judge/courts should have thrown out the case due to the Plaintiff's sloppy, unprofessional attempts at stringing the case along in hopes that we would just give up and settle. In fact I questioned Ms. Benson as to why she wasn't screaming at the judge to throw out the case on more than one occasion. Ms. Benson advised us to stay the course and let our case stand on it's own merit. She stated that its possible the judge was extending additional time frames and leeway to the Plaintiff due to her representing herself. We were very pleased with how Ms. Benson handled the cross examination portion of the Plaintiff's testimony and in the end, after three (3) weak appeals allowed to the Plaintiff, our company prevailed. We were completely satisfied with the respect Ms. Benson showed to our staff throughout the process, and we recommend Ms. Benson without reservation.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pleasure working with you, your staff and representing your company in the matter. Justice was served with the dismissal.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
