Not professional

She charges $300/hr and would not even remember basic details about your case which in turn makes you reitarate the same information while paying her again for it. In addition, she would charge me several times for reading the SAME documents PRIOR to consultations. I obviously agree lawyers should ge...t paid for their time for things like this, but it happened several times when documents didn't change and I felt her approach was somewhat deceiving. Because I was in (what I thought at the time) a delicate situation (which now I'm realizing wasn't ANYYHING to ever worry about in the first place), instead of having clarity and a sense of ease, I would almost always leave my "consultations" with her feeling more stressed and fearful. I felt I had to keep coming back for more consultations, and it ended up being insanely expensive for no reason other than I had to keep reminding her of previously reviewed documents. Just another small example is that she charged me $75 dollars for a 6 minute phone call, where I only asked her to confirm the deadline that was outlined on the USCIS website.... I would never recommend her services to anyone

"Janet is an excellent attorney and counselor in every sense of the word. She is a true advocate for her clients, and very compassionate and caring towards those she serves. When it comes to the incredibly complicated areas of family-based immigration and employer sponsored immigration issues, you would be hard-pressed to find a more knowledgeable attorney. I wholeheartedly endorse Janet."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
