David prides himself on client centered representation. He believes in diligent and aggressive defense of client’s rights and a strong commitment to the fields of Criminal Defense and Family Law. Since his time at Syracuse University College of Law, David has made has had a passion for Criminal Defense and made his career about representing clients in need.
Prior to joining Nave Defense Attorneys, David served for several years both as an Associate Public Defender for Madison County Public Defender’s Office and a part-time sole practitioner, focusing mostly on Criminal Defense and Family Court. Through that experience, David gained valuable insight into the extreme difficulties those charged with a crime can face in the criminal justice system. He made his practice about continuously pushing for those who have been disenfranchised and has successfully resolved many hundreds of cases.
At the Public Defender’s Office, David was the Senior Public Defender for 6 Justice Courts in Madison County. Here, he was often in the Courtroom, both at a local level and a County Court level. David has handled every aspect of a criminal case from arraignment through trial and has successfully represented multiple clients in trial including at the felony jury trial level.
David is also active in Family Court. He has successfully resolved many types of cases in this area of law and has a passion for helping clients navigate these difficult family legal matters. Family law cases David regularly resolves include Custody and Visitation, Child Neglect, Paternity and support. Further, he is a trained Attorney for the Child and is a member of the Madison County Attorney for the Child Panel and diligently represents juvenile cases involving minors, including those charged with criminal offenses.
In 2016, David attended and successfully completed New York Academy of Criminal Defense Lawyers Trial School. He is also a member of New York state Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in New York state courts.
