Based on my personal experience, real estate transactions—particularly those involving another state—were challenging and did not feel well supported. Communication wa...s consistently poor, with limited responsiveness to questions about another state’s requirements. Requests were often inadequately addressed, which led to delays and frustration. I was particularly concerned by the tone and manner of communication from the paralegal, which I found unprofessional and dismissive rather than collaborative. In my opinion, taking on matters outside one’s core experience and communicating this way raises concerns about judgment and professionalism. Even when representing personal friends, clear communication, courtesy, and attention to detail are essential. Communication was consistently poor, with little understanding of or responsiveness to another state’s requirements. Requests were inadequately addressed, creating unnecessary delays and frustration. More concerning was the conduct of the paralegal, Diane, whose interactions became verbally abusive and included derogatory remarks rather than professional communication. Taking on matters outside one’s competence and responding this way reflects poor judgment and raises serious concerns about overall professionalism. Even when representing personal friends, basic standards of courtesy, competence, and communication should not be compromised.
