Lisa Ellen Hartley

My mother hired Lisa as her divorce attorney. She was promised the world and at the end was told "don't you just want this over?". She ended up broke and in debt. A few months later, my mother fell ill and was on a ventilator. I needed to obtain her divorce papers (or copies of them) to process her... health benefits. She could not speak for herself because she was on a ventilator and I was her power of attorney. When I contacted the office and finally tried to speak to Lisa, she screamed at me and had a temper tantrum about my asking for the papers- even though I offered to come by or fax documentation of the power of attorney. She ended up hanging up on me?! Is that professional when all I was asking for was paperwork that I was entitled to? I ended up finding other means to obtain the needed documentation and then my mother passed away. Thank you for NOTHING!

Lisa was my attorney in a very sensitive family court case. Her experience and the way she handled the case earned me excellent results and also helped me survive emotionally. Furthermore, I was in a very difficult financial situation, Lisa did not give up on me and worked with me unlike other attorn...eys I worked with in the past. I highly recommend her.

I have worked with Lisa Hartley a number of times. Yes, When I first met with her, I found her to be different than the other lawyers I had spoke to in regards to getting a divorce. All the other lawyers were robotic, gave me less than 30 min to discuss my case & charged me at times up to $100 or ...more for just telling them my standing situation. Lisa did speak to me in sitting area, however; for the all the times I had to meet with her, we were never interrupted. She is one to actually care for many if not all her clients in a sincere way. There are other people in this world who do not even know what that even is.

The worst lawyer I ever hired. $60,000+ and wasn't even divorced yet. Had to hire another lawyer to finish the job......hence her nickname in the lawyer circle "drag-it-on-forever-Hartley". Talk is cheap....and she's full of it. Actions speak louder than words in my book. I implore you.... Don't... fall for her down to earth, warm approach. It's all BS. She's incredibly disorganized, as evidenced by her messy office and poor follow through. I'm sorry for taking her as a recommendation, I only hope I can prevent another from making the same mistake.
