Won me back my baby from father who kidnapped him

I had to have Miss Matula make an emergency petition to get back my baby after his father tried to steal him and leave for Florida (and only heaven knows what plans he had for our son after Florida because he has family in Cuba). Miss Matula won my case, got custody back with me and made sure that ...the Dad's access would be forever prohibited from leaving the country without prior written permission from the court. I was very happy with her as my lawyer and I would recommend her to anyone!

If you want to win custody-she's the one

I switched to Anna after it looked like I was going to lose custody of my kids when my ex hired a snake lawyer and Anna came in and took control of things and turned my case around. I will forever be grateful because my kids ended up where they belong.

This lawyer put more effort into securing sole custody for my ex than she put into defending, representing or fighting for me.

The lawyer being described in all of these glowing reviews is a different person than the one who “represented” me so I’m in a state of disbelief. The one star reviewer talked about a lawyer who compromised her case and rarely spoke up in court. That was the same Ms. Matula-Evans I had. She was suppo...sed to represent me in a custody case. In the days leading up to the trial she tried various strategies to crush my confidence in the strength of my case. 2 years prior, I fell asleep at the wheel and caused an accident. I told police I had taken my prescribed anti-anxiety medication because I was being kicked out of my apartment early, the landlord had people there putting our stuff out into the rain, they let my cat out and my girlfriends step-father died-all in one day! I was already exhausted from the expedited move so the medication hit me harder than it normally would. Long story short-I was arrested and charged with impaired driving. Ms. Matula-Evans told me opposing counsel got ahold of body-cam footage from my arrest and that they were going to play it at the trial. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Dept. answered that call in October of 2022 but, I later found out that they didn’t have or start wearing body-cams until March of the following year! She then accused me of lying to her about a misdemeanor conviction associated with that incident but that case was months away from a decision and I had a pending plea deal that was going to lower it down to a traffic infraction. I showed her proof of such but she didn’t acknowledge it. She said I should agree to giving my son’s alcoholic mother sole custody and when I didn’t agree to that, she dropped my case. She said it was because I had no chance of winning and I lied to her about the misdemeanor. She never intended on helping me fight for custody because I confirmed with 3 key witnesses that they were never subpoenaed to testify on my behalf at the trial. I recently viewed the full documentation that went with her formal request to be removed from my case and in it was an emailed statement stating she was making this request because of a recent explosive tantrum I had. Huh? Never happened. In this statement, she also told the judge that, in order to avoid prejudicing her client, she would not be including that page with the rest of the documents she would be serving upon all of the other parties but you can see that all of the other parties were CCed on that very email! There’s so much more but I think I’ve painted a clear picture of my experience. If the reviews here are really from former clients then I have to wonder why I got a deceitful, manipulative and condescending Anna Matula-Evans when I was always honest and respectful toward her. For anyone considering shelling out their hard earned money to hire this lawyer, I’d stop to consider which Ms. Matula-Evans you could potentially end up with.

Very disappointed

Hired her for child custody gave her 4,000 dollars went to court a couple of times While in courtroom rarely spoke up to say anything in my defense I arrived at a scheduled court hearing one day and sat for hours finally called her office secretary told me the court date had been changed to a w...eek prior I missed it and so I lost I asked why I wasn’t notified and the secretary told me I wasn’t told because I owed. More money ? was never sent a bill only the 4,000 which I paid Never heard from her again lost custody. 4,000 of my savings

I have a current case right now that involves PARENTAL KIDNAPPING

The parties have shared equal legal and physical custody of their children a few months now. The mother is being so indignant that he barely speaks to my client and fails to co-parent with him.
