Darryl Joseph Dreyer

Darryl J. Dreyer was born and raised in New Windsor, New York. He graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1986 in the top 3% of his class. After high school, Mr. Dreyer attended the State University of New York at Binghamton where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Economics with high honors.

Mr. Dreyer attended the Boston University School of Law where he received his juris doctor, cum laude, in 1993. Mr. Dreyer began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for Orange County, handling and trying a multitude of cases in the areas of DWI, Assault, Drugs, Domestic Violence, Sex Crimes, Robberies, Burglaries, Crimes Against Animals, etc. The type of jury trial experience Mr. Dreyer received during his tenure in the District Attorney's Office is invaluable in providing top-notch representation on injury and criminal matters alike.

Following the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Dreyer worked for a large New York City law firm handling exclusively medical malpractice defense cases where millions of dollars were at stake in every case. Then, Mr. Dreyer was recruited to join the trial staff at a large local personal injury law firm. For two years, Mr. Dreyer handled depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials on auto accidents, trip and falls, slip and falls, dog bite cases, and work related injuries.

Thereafter, Mr. Dreyer transitioned to a partnership with another local law firm where he handled criminal cases, personal injury cases, and some family law cases. During his ten years with his former firm, Mr. Dreyer developed a diverse clientele and honed his skills in criminal defense (especially DWI's), personal injury law, and divorce/family law.

Mr. Dreyer's current practice focuses on injury and criminal matters, especially the defense of DWI's.
