when my grandfather became ill in 2007-2008 he used ms.guerin to draft his will, now 7 almost 8 years later we discovered a trust fund we needed an original copy of his will to obtain information on. After dealing with our local surrogat court we were told to contact ms. guerin for the original copy ...or a letter stating she did write the will and a copy was acceptable. When i called ms. guerin the first time she was pleasent and said she would look into it and call me back. 2 weeks later i had heard nothing and called back and left a message. i still recieved no call back. When i was in the area of her law firm i stopped in to see her, she was very short with us, impersonable and pushed us off but assured us she would look into it and let us know. more time past and now my aunt called left a message and got no where for weeks. finally weeks later when we took up the issue with our family lawyer with in a week she called and left a message that she had paperwork for us to be picked up. unfourtunatly we were on vacation at that time. When we returned i was in the area of her law firm and stopped to pick it up. she was down right nasty to me, i explained that i was sorry and could come back another time . she told me no take it now and get out im done with you and will never do anything for you again. i never once raised my voice to this woman, i didnt call non-stop or do anything annoying, y self and my family were always pleastant to her, we didnt ask for anything crazy and offered and were willing to pay whatever for her service. She had allowed my grandfather to take the original copy of the will home with him and unfortunatly none of us know where he put it and due to his death we certianly cannot ask him where it is. Ms. guerin was rude mean and unprofessional, this was no way to be treated by a professional lawyer as a cleint or late clients family. this was 7 years after the pain of losing a loved one and the chaos has passed i cant imagine dealing with some one so mean immediatly after.
