     Henry Fonda, playing young Abe Lincoln, inspired me. I'm still inspired after all these years. While the business side of a law office is similar to running any business, there is nothing better than vindicating a client's rights in court. That always remains special.

      It is important to go over a client's case thoroughly. The facts are everything. Then in-depth research is vital to match a client's factual version to legal theories and standards which will hold up in court. If a civil case, then having a settlement position is vital. A good compromise can sometimes bring better closure than years of litigation. But if the other side does not wish to settle, then we know we will be putting our dispute before the judge or jury. I believe strongly in the ultimate fairness and good common sense of our jurors.

      If criminal defense, then all of the above precepts apply and more. No one needs more protection than the unpopular, the disadvantaged, the wrongly accused. We do not judge our clients, we leave that to the judge or jury. But every client, no matter the facts, deserves a vigorous defense. It is the bedrock principle of our Constitution, and the liberties we all enjoy.

     There are no guarantees regarding results in the courtroom. Like life, outcomes vary. The only guarantee we make here is to give your matter our full attention and to serve your needs to the best of our ability.
