William Neil Cloonan

William Cloonan has practiced in the ten county Mid-Hudson, New York for over 30 years. His practice has a concentration in personal injury trials on behalf of plaintiff's and defendants.  Additionally, he has maintained a general practice with concentrations in Estate Planning and Real Estate.  Mr. Cloonan has been inducted into the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel, an international asociation whose membership is by invitation only following an extensive peer review selection process.  He has also been included among the Super Lawyers of the Hudson Valley and selected as a member of the Multi Million Advocates Forum.  An active member of the New York State Bar Association, he was selected as Chairman of it's Torts Section, served on its CLE Committee, a speaker on issues of practice and ethics, and a recipient of the NY State Bar Association's John Leach Distinguished Service Award.  Mr. Cloonan also serves on the Attorney Admissions Committee of the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court.  Within the community, he has served as assistant Ulster County attorney, counsel to the City of Kingston Water Board,  President of the Kingston Area Boys and Girls Club. counsel of Kingston Community Radio, Board member of the Woodstock School of Arts,  President of the Marist College Alumni Association, counsel to the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Divison 1, and Grand Marshal of the Kingston St. Patrick's Day Parade.  A veteran having served with the 25th Infantry Division in Viet-Nam he was a  recipient  the Bronze Star and the New York State Distinguished Service Medal and presently serves as counsel to the New York State Veterans of Foreign Wars.
