City of Hollywood v. RAM Realty Holdings, L.L.C., et al
Apr 12, 2016OUTCOME: Case Closed and Settled
The Case involved several code violations and citations against an income producing residential apartment complex. The municipality initiated suit to place a lien on the property and to ultimately see ... k foreclosure. The partnership entity that owned the complex had a change in the composition of ownership and needed to work out extensions to complete the repairs required to bring the property into compliance with the municipal code and to pass inspections. Once this continuance in the legal matter was secured the investment group promptly began extensive repairs required to bring the property into compliance. Once the repairs were completed, inspections were performed by the municipality code enforcement department for compliance with the existing code. At that time the property passed inspections and violations were cleared. Next, the fines and penalties had to be negotiated to secure a settlement to have the matter resolved. Ultimately a settlement was reached and all parties agreed to have the case dismissed without prejudice.
