Kelly represented me in my divorce following a 32 year marriage. She is extremely competent in divorce law, and her warm, caring demeanor made a very difficult process bearable. Took the advice of a friend of the family and chose Kelly without talking to anyone else. My retainer quickly dried up and court proceedings dragged on (2012-2014). I was stationed in the Navy in Groton, CT and had to drive into NY constantly only to find out that court had been postponed.....this... happened several times over the course of close to 2 years. I once never got a call, message, or an email about an upcoming court date from her or her firm. I found out 2 days prior to the court date from my ex. She is not a fighter in court and gave me bad advice on several occasions. When the final day had finally arrived that my case was going to be heard, she advised me to concede to EVERYTHING my ex wanted (it was snowing and everyone wanted to go home), including paying for a year of college for her daughter that wasn't mine. My child support and alimony were/are through the roof, and all the debt (including a maxed out credit card taken out in my name by my ex that I had no idea about) was given to me. I was in debt to the law firm and had nowhere else to turn....meaning I had no money to retain a different lawyer. If only I knew then what I know now....I would have definitely chosen a different lawyer. My advice is to simply steer clear!!

I have paid for the top lawyers in the area for my divorce / custody sum as much as $500 an hour. Kelly's extremely fair priced and her work and her passion for her job supersedes any of those $500 an hour lawyers. She's focused on getting you the results that you deserve and not patting her pockets... with money. A lot of the lawyers are going to draw the process out as long as possible so that you spend more money and they suck up your retainer so you have to replenish it it's a big game that they play to take as much money from you as possible because they know that your emotions are involved for either custody for your children or the bitterness or how upset your are with the divorce. These lawyers take avantage of it to take your money to draw it out as long as possible instead of getting down to the point of settling it. Kelly does not play this game she straight to the point. Kelly is absolutely phenomenal she's better than the top lawyers that I have hired. There's one person to hire in the area if you're going through divorce/ custody it's Kelly hands-down!
