Highy recommended!

Karen had taken over my case. She pushed through a difficult divorce with professionalism, kindness, and a relentlessness that resulted in a divorce . A fair distribution of marital assets. Her paperwork was always accurate, delivered in a timely manner, and she always checked with me to ensure th...at what she was proceeding with was what I wanted.

Do not use

Hired her to help with divorce, specifically dealing with home ownership and mortgage issues. She did nothing and offered no helpful advice on the situation. Ended up asking a friend with no legal experience to help revamp my divorce settlement and it was done 10 times faster and in better detail tha...n Karen did. She also used ALL of the retainer and then charged a lot of additional money. To do what - send a letter to the clerk? Can't even get in touch with her directly. Her paralegal does it all.

happy with results in divorce case

Very good in the courtroom for divorce and custody cases- tough but will also try to settle yor case if that is what you want. Appears to know the court system well and is well prepared.

My advice? Look elsewhere . . .

After more than $5,000 in a paid retainer fee exhausted, an additional bill for nearly $2,500, and nearly 3 years since filing for divorce - I believe I have received no progress on my case. I have no divorce, no written custody or visitation agreement, no settlement regarding the marital assets, on...ly basic child support. I have never seen a judge. I do not reside in the marital residence (despite leaving due to domestic abuse). It seems, in my opinion, that she is either inept or without integrity, she appears not to care at all about me personally or professionally, she appears to have frequently been unprepared for and rather unfamiliar with the details of my case when we have met for "scheduled" Court dates, and I would never recommend anyone retain her. Again, this is my experience and opinion.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
