A Child Support Lawyer You Want on Your Side

My husband and I used the Law Office of Karen Gazda several years ago and will be using her again this year to handle child support matters. Karen is an amazing lawyer. You know you are in good hands with her. She is knowledgeable, straight forward, hard working and someone you want fighting for you.... Would recommend the Law Office of Karen Gazda for anyone looking for an attorney regarding child support and family law.

waste of money

we hired her to handle a issue that she seemd to give us the idea she could handle it, it was no big deal- she took the money- and let the other lawyer lie continuously she didnt say anything while the other guy made his false case.more over when we infact got a hold of her to find out what was g...oing on she acted as if there was no case at all infact asked stupid qustions that proved she never bothered to look in to facts of the case and was just not a serious lawyer.she not the lawyer to have if you want to be honest.the case has bankrupted the family worst is she knows it. if you need help get a public defender. dont pay someone who doesnt care.

Easy or tough case?

Well respected in the court system, and demands it from other lawyers and will not accept anything less; Won't let you be disrespected either...by anyone. Very professional. She knows most of the facts of your case off the top of her head and can handle them well on the fly. She is very straight f...orward, so if you have a personality that can't handle that, then she may not be for you....I liked that and didn't want anything sugar coated. Won't put up with 'crap' from other lawyers and their clients...she handles their 'games' and puts them in place when needed. Great on her feet - in 4 way conferences, in trial, as well as in front of judge. Very trustworthy - you can tell her ANYTHING, and knows what not to tell the other party(ies) involved. I wanted to know everything and be prepared for everything, and that's what she did for me. She get's fired up for you, and will put forth her best efforts to get the job done. Would like to see her office be more technology efficient, which would improve efficiency for her and you; I wanted to always review, and possibly update/change filings before they went, and her assistant was always very cooperative with that process, however, I would have to physically pick them up or have them faxed to me. If you need a bulldog, and I knew I would, then I would recommend her. If you don't, and at times I didn't (very few though), she still got the job done well. Small office - only her and her assistant - pros and cons. You will only deal with her and not be bounced around to different lawyers, however, if you have emergencies, sometimes you can't reach her, but she will ALWAYS get back to you when time permits.

Run While you can

Karen is a terrible attorney. I went to her with a seperation aggreement that another attorney had done for my ex-wife and I and I asked her to review it and advise me where I would get hurt. She gave me no advice and said it looked fine. The simple agreement eventually fell through, kept gettting... ammended by my ex and her attorney and time and again Karen would advise me to agree to the changes. Even after, on several occasions, she would say lets just go to court and have the judge decide . When I agreed to that she would turn 180 degrees and talk me out of it. I went from having a decent seperation agreement to loosing everything, custody, my house, my pension, everything. Thanks for the advice Karen, I should have taken my chances in court. She is no litigator!!! Not really much of a divorce attorney either. Hind sight is 20/20 believe me when I say, use someone else.

Do not use

Hired her to help with divorce, specifically dealing with home ownership and mortgage issues. She did nothing and offered no helpful advice on the situation. Ended up asking a friend with no legal experience to help revamp my divorce settlement and it was done 10 times faster and in better detail tha...n Karen did. She also used ALL of the retainer and then charged a lot of additional money. To do what - send a letter to the clerk? Can't even get in touch with her directly. Her paralegal does it all.
