In 2012, my ex-husband and I started the divorce process. Having hired a different law firm, my divorce was the most tumultuous, scary and completely hopeless years of my life. Just another number in the Supreme Court system and treated the same by my big, well-known law firm. When my bill got upw...ards of $200K, enough was enough and I got rid of them. Then I met Mr. Simon. I had been having a problem with my ex-husband, who had moved out of state, threatening he would not be sending my daughter back home. A God send at one of the most difficult times of my life. I am feeling so fortunate to have had Mr. Simon on my team! He not only helped me cope with what I was going through but he gave me hope and the confidence I needed to move toward justice for myself and more importantly, my two daughters. ...After finding myself back in the court system, after being divorced for years, because my ex was not holding up his end of the bargain, Mr. Simon was my voice, my advocate. He understood not only the legalities involved but also understood my emotional needs and was supportive on both fronts. He is a very intelligent, well spoken, quick witted attorney. I really loved that he refused to let my case drag on. He was fast an efficient. I had a tough and complex case in which I was pursuing child support enforcment in Family Court and as we neared the end of my case, my ex put a motion to stop "stay" my case in Family Court and consolidate in Supreme. My ex could see that the case was not moving in a direction he liked, so he tried to change the venue. In the eyes of the Court, it would have made sense to move the entire case over to Supreme, since they do you have legal jurisdiction to deal with all the complicated issues my case presented. For me, this would have been devastating as I had already spent so much time and energy and would have had to esssentially start over. It was at this hearing to consolidate that I had the opportunity to see just how passionate, prepared and not willing to just settle that Mr. Simon was. Even with the odds stacked against us on this motion, Mr Simon was successful and the Judge decided not to consolidate. A huge victory for us! Because of this victory, i finally had my day! The justice bestowed onto me, allowed for more negotiating pressure and an ultimate settlement..... keeping us out of Supreme Court! Mr. Lance D. Simon is a gem! Nothing short of phenomenal! Lance Simon is the best attorney I have ever had the opportunity to work with. I was recently involved in a case against my ex regarding visitation of our children. I hired Lance Simon in a very difficult spot. I needed someone to represent me the following day in a Family Court case in which I was unjustly accused by my wife. It was a very tense time in my life and Lance was there for me. Lance agreed to meet me at 7:30 at night and spent 2 hours reviewing m...y case so he could be prepared for the following day. Lance cleared his morning calender to be with me. Lance was very prepared to defend me and very good at reacting and responding to a tough opposing attorney.
