My divorce began in May 2016 and today it finally culminated in an agreement today. To establish some background, my husband asked for this divorce and although I am 41, my parents were an integral part of this whole process and immediately wanted to hire an attorney who could handle this case. Reminding me of the law and steering me away from my emotional attachments to events that were occurring. For that, I am grateful. He is punctual, articulate and very intelligent. He is also excellent with calculations and numbers. He is very skilled at explaining legal issues in layman's terms. Whenever I was feeling doubtful or second guessed how much longer I should fight, I kept going knowing that I had an excellent lawyer fighting right along with me. Lance has shown dedication and has handled my divorce as if it were he who getting divorced. He has explained all ways in which he can protect me monetary wise and in business. I hired Lance Simon in a very difficult spot. I needed someone to represent me the following day in a Family Court case in which I was unjustly accused by my wife. It was a very tense time in my life and Lance was there for me. Lance agreed to meet me at 7:30 at night and spent 2 hours reviewing m...y case so he could be prepared for the following day. Lance cleared his morning calender to be with me. Lance was very prepared to defend me and very good at reacting and responding to a tough opposing attorney. If it weren't for Lance I'm not sure how this would have turned out. The case was ultimaltly overturned and we won. Lance was not a typical attorney. He was expremely kind and commpassionate. If you don’t have the right attorney you will be victimized by a flawed and biased process. Lance Simon took over my case and saved my case. My first attorney I used for my divorce was a horror. He was inaccessible and not very professional. The only thing he was good at was riding the wave of marit...al hostility and playing the game of running up the legal costs with negative results. He often came to court late and totally unprepared, he was not respected by the judge and took several tongue lashings from him. The case was going so badly for me that I thought he had sold me out and was working for the opposition. I was subjected to an onerous pendente lite decision based on lies. He demonstrated his knowledge and the quality of his experience as we discussed in great detail all the issues of the case, he formulated a reasonable set of goals and He gave it to me straight and advised me against litigating unattainable issues. My ex and her attorney had been unreasonable from the very beginning and I was never even close to a settlement with my first attorney, Lance Simon exhibited excellent negotiating skills as we were able to negotiate a proposed settlement, I was astonished and felt a resolution was on the horizon only to have the opposition renege on their agreement and counter with the same old unreasonable demands. This forced us to go to trial. It was in trial where Lance Simon dominated. He was well prepared and made sure I was also. He blocked successfully opposing evidence and objected often to the opposition with their leading and misleading questions. His cross examination of my soon to be ex resulted in her admission of misleading the court on accusations of me on some important financial issues. I have to say he out shined a well-seasoned opposing attorney. His closing argument was well crafted and well written. The overall outcome was very good for me considering how badly it was going prior to Lance Simon taking over my case, the opposition did not get awarded any council fees. My child support was set at the proper amount not the unreasonable amount my ex was demanding and he managed to get my child support amended so that while my kids were in college 9 months of my child support each year was payable directly to the college towards their room and board. That was excellent. Getting divorced is a painful and stressful ordeal in itself, if you’re soon to be ex-spouse is as unreasonable as mine was and is looking to cause you permanent financial harm it is imperative to have the right attorney on your side. Many attorney’s will take you to the cleaners along with your soon to be ex-spouse. Lance Simon is a skilled professional with integrity, he is always helpful, understanding and truthful, and he will answer all your calls and act professional all through the process. This will save you wear and tear from an arduous process and ultimately save you some money.

I did not shop around for divorce lawyers, went to Lance upon a referral and hired him at the spot. He agreed to a reduced retainer fee given my difficult situation. I hired Lance to represent me against a narcissistic wife who shot a silver bullet. I was kicked out of my home and lived on the street...s for 2 months while Lance was my attorney, though he did not have me sign a retainer to represent me in the Family Offense case and wasn't present at the court when my life was terminated by the VIBS loving IDV Judge. Lance showed great passion in 3 months he served as my attorney but things got a lot worse during this time. We got absurd decisions on our Pendente Lite motion seeking custody and maintenance. He has too many cases to handle and he works alone. My case is very complex and I am only interested in the custody of my children, which we lost from the get go, via the silver bullet conceded.
