In 2012, my ex-husband and I started the divorce process. Having hired a different law firm, my divorce was the most tumultuous, scary and completely hopeless years of my life. Just another number in the Supreme Court system and treated the same by my big, well-known law firm. When my bill got upw...ards of $200K, enough was enough and I got rid of them. Then I met Mr. Simon. I had been having a problem with my ex-husband, who had moved out of state, threatening he would not be sending my daughter back home. I immediately starting calling any and all attorneys that would hear me as soon as possible and Lance was the only one who offered to meet me that evening near my home. When sitting for that first consult with Lance, I immediately knew this was someone I needed to have by my side. He is so knowledgable, confident, and well spoken but more than all those things that are great, I felt like I had a friend in my corner fighting for me. My divorce began in May 2016 and today it finally culminated in an agreement today. To establish some background, my husband asked for this divorce and although I am 41, my parents were an integral part of this whole process and immediately wanted to hire an attorney who could handle this case. When ...we met Lance Simon my parents hired him on the spot and knew instantly he would be the best person to represent me. He was also professional and so knowledgeable about divorce law and what realistic expectations I could expect. There were many times when I felt emotional and frustrated by the actions of my ex husband and I would contact Lance with questions and concerns. And he always kept a level head and gave me the right answers and guidance. He also kept open lines of communication with both of my parents and I gave him the go ahead to speak to them on all legal matters. Which he did. Three voices now instead of one? Reminding me of the law and steering me away from my emotional attachments to events that were occurring. For that, I am grateful. He is punctual, articulate and very intelligent. He is also excellent with calculations and numbers. He is very skilled at explaining legal issues in layman's terms. Whenever I was feeling doubtful or second guessed how much longer I should fight, I kept going knowing that I had an excellent lawyer fighting right along with me. PLEASE READ...No words to express how Incredible of an Attorney Lance Simon is. Even more Amazing is how I met Lance. I was expecting my attorney be at Islip Family Court house on a custody case matter. However on that day my attorney had an emergency trial. An Attorney by the name of Lance Simon wal...ked up and introduced himself to me. I was a bit nervous at first until he started speaking. Right away I new what I was dealing with - "A Highly Competent, Experienced & A Well Oiled Machine."  I said Wow this guy is beyond my wildest expectations!  I immediately I knew i had a winner and a fighter that knew what he was doing. I felt as if i Struck Gold. I immediately had a tremendous feeling of confidence and relief. During the time and through all the court dates and trials Lance held my hand knew when to calm me down, knew when on he had to get tough with me and the bottom line is knew exactly what he was doing with a well thought-out methodical plan that put us into a place that would bring us to Victory. I have to admit many times especially when I got nervous I sat back and I thought how incredible it was that Lance knew my case better than I knew it myself. It was like he had known me for my entire life and witnessed my entire story. His memory of what you tell him and his memory of what you sent him via text or email is unheard of. His vocabulary and knowledge will blow you away in court just like I watched him correct and blow away the four attorneys working against me and a judge who had to be corrected as well. Lance with his complete composure made the other attorneys and judge feel uneducated. I walked out of court many times saying I cannot believe what a calm Pitbull this guy is. He's got every card up his sleeve. Nothing slips past him. Lance had me come to his home even if it was at 12 at night to go over my case after being through a tough day and working with to go over my case after being through a tough day and working with other clients still cared enough to make sure that our day in court would be victorious. I never met a more thorough guy. I could say that if I didn't hear from him for a short period of time or even a long period of time as soon as we got to court or he was soon to prep me for the next day in court it was like we never missed a beat. I can keep going on and on and on but I tell you this if you're looking for a divorce attorney this guy comes with the highest recommendations I couldn't stress it enough.
