A God send at one of the most difficult times of my life. I am feeling so fortunate to have had Mr. Simon on my team! He not only helped me cope with what I was going through but he gave me hope and the confidence I needed to move toward justice for myself and more importantly, my two daughters. ...After finding myself back in the court system, after being divorced for years, because my ex was not holding up his end of the bargain, Mr. Simon was my voice, my advocate. I really loved that he refused to let my case drag on. He was fast an efficient. I had a tough and complex case in which I was pursuing child support enforcment in Family Court and as we neared the end of my case, my ex put a motion to stop "stay" my case in Family Court and consolidate in Supreme. My ex could see that the case was not moving in a direction he liked, so he tried to change the venue. In the eyes of the Court, it would have made sense to move the entire case over to Supreme, since they do you have legal jurisdiction to deal with all the complicated issues my case presented. For me, this would have been devastating as I had already spent so much time and energy and would have had to esssentially start over. It was at this hearing to consolidate that I had the opportunity to see just how passionate, prepared and not willing to just settle that Mr. Simon was. Even with the odds stacked against us on this motion, Mr Simon was successful and the Judge decided not to consolidate. A huge victory for us! Because of this victory, i finally had my day! The justice bestowed onto me, allowed for more negotiating pressure and an ultimate settlement..... keeping us out of Supreme Court! Mr. Lance D. Simon is a gem! Nothing short of phenomenal! If you don’t have the right attorney you will be victimized by a flawed and biased process. Lance Simon took over my case and saved my case. My first attorney I used for my divorce was a horror. He was inaccessible and not very professional. The only thing he was good at was riding the wave of marit...al hostility and playing the game of running up the legal costs with negative results. He often came to court late and totally unprepared, he was not respected by the judge and took several tongue lashings from him. The case was going so badly for me that I thought he had sold me out and was working for the opposition. I was subjected to an onerous pendente lite decision based on lies. I was on the verge of destruction both financially and emotionally. I was desperate to turn my case around so I fired the first attorney and Hired Lance Simon to rescue my case. Lance immediately restored my confidence in Attorney’s and assured me of the legitimacy of the process. He demonstrated his knowledge and the quality of his experience as we discussed in great detail all the issues of the case, he formulated a reasonable set of goals and He gave it to me straight and advised me against litigating unattainable issues. My ex and her attorney had been unreasonable from the very beginning and I was never even close to a settlement with my first attorney, Lance Simon exhibited excellent negotiating skills as we were able to negotiate a proposed settlement, I was astonished and felt a resolution was on the horizon only to have the opposition renege on their agreement and counter with the same old unreasonable demands. This forced us to go to trial. It was in trial where Lance Simon dominated. He was well prepared and made sure I was also. He blocked successfully opposing evidence and objected often to the opposition with their leading and misleading questions. His cross examination of my soon to be ex resulted in her admission of misleading the court on accusations of me on some important financial issues. I have to say he out shined a well-seasoned opposing attorney. His closing argument was well crafted and well written. The overall outcome was very good for me considering how badly it was going prior to Lance Simon taking over my case, the opposition did not get awarded any council fees. My child support was set at the proper amount not the unreasonable amount my ex was demanding and he managed to get my child support amended so that while my kids were in college 9 months of my child support each year was payable directly to the college towards their room and board. That was excellent. Getting divorced is a painful and stressful ordeal in itself, if you’re soon to be ex-spouse is as unreasonable as mine was and is looking to cause you permanent financial harm it is imperative to have the right attorney on your side. Many attorney’s will take you to the cleaners along with your soon to be ex-spouse. Lance Simon is a skilled professional with integrity, he is always helpful, understanding and truthful, and he will answer all your calls and act professional all through the process. This will save you wear and tear from an arduous process and ultimately save you some money.

Lance was the perfect balance between ruthlessness and kindness. I had a very difficult unreasonable ex husband who Lance was miraculously able to work with to get my children a great child support. I hired Lance based on the great reviews he had. I also liked what he had said to me, about my upcoming divorce trial. I found him to be a nice guy. Unfortunately our case was in front of Judge Iliou who would not listen to Lance as I witnessed. Judge Iliou had decided this case way before my atto...rney or myself had any chance of receiving a fair settlement. I witnessed Judge Iliou stating to my lawyer that his argument were ridiculous and saw Judge Iliou get up and walk out of the courtroom while my attorney was still speaking. Judge Iliou would favor the opposing attorney Irene Angelakis. The outcome of my case would be very unfair, leaving me with no health insurance, no spousal support, our 6 children receiving no educational help, no medical reimbursement for the last 10 years (documents were lost), no money from his annuity. I would receive a share of our home and a small portion of the pension which I will have to carry ins. on. I would not be reimbursed for the three trials this man has brought against me. I'm not sure if it was my lawyers fault I did so poorly or the lousy judge we had. But one thing that still eats away at me is when the opposing attorney Irene Angelakis stated to my lawyer that I threatened to blow up a building where another attorney was located. I couldn't believe it then and I still can't fathom that someone in her profession would be so vicious and a complete liar. It bothers me to this day that my attorney would not follow thru with what he said he would do. I would file a complaint and there solution is to hire an attorney.
