Back in January of 2016, I was hit with 9 (yes nine) traffic tickets driving on the Long Island Expressway, including lapse of insurance (misdemeanor), invalid registration and inspection. In addition, my car was impounded and the car plates seized. Not a day I will forget.
I was referred to John Powers by another attorney who felt John was the right lawyer to take my case…and wow was he right! John was professional, knowledgeable and helped me throughout the entire process. He fought in court for the best results and delivered. My tickets were reduced from 9 to 4 lesser offenses, a small penalty and no points on my license. John is an excellent attorney and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
THANK YOU JOHN!

I hired Mr. Powers, as my attorney, in a criminal court proceeding. Mr. Powers is 100% dedicated to providing the best possible outcome and keeps you in the loop during every aspect of the proceeding. Mr. Powes has your best interests in mind and you can rest assure that you have made an excellent choice when you hire him. John is now my personal attorney, whom I trust 110% for any legal issues I may have in the future. I am very please with his ability to represent me in a very professional, respectful and aggressive fashion. Unlike most state appointed lawyers, John always kept in contact with me and filled me in with updates as it was happening. Whenever I called to talk to John, he always got back to me quickly. There are NO surpises or details left out when consulting with John. The outcome of my case was more than satisfying...I was estatic with the news that John had resolved my case in a way that I did not even expect. I deeply appreciate John's dedication to not just my case, but for his dedication to me as a person. I feel like he is more of a friend and not just a lawyer who is representing me. To anybody reading this review, I recommend John and his law group to represent you. I can not think of a single detractor nor do I have any complaints. John will be my go to attorney for any legal issues I have. Thanks John for all you have done for me!
Kenneth Smith, DUI and DWI Attorney
Powers is a powerful lawyer and advocate! I met John while attending the National College for DUI Defense's summer session, which was recently hosted on the campus of Harvard's law school. I saw him in action and was most impressed with his work. I left with two thoughts: 1. If I was charged with a crime in his practice area, he would be my first call for representation; and 2. I need to add his name to my rolodex for potential client referrals. If you are in trouble and need some legal help, give John a call.
