"There are two kinds of lawyers in our field. The ones who care about your bottom line, and the ones who care about their own. Steven cares about your bottom line. He is always prepared down to the last penny of your marital estate. He fights tirelessly to preserve his client's relationships with their children. I couldn't endorse him more."
"Steven Shumer is as genuine of an attorney as they come. He goes above and beyond in ALL matters. He has spoken with clients I have sent to him, ones he cannot assist, but takes the time to listen and point them in the right direction. He listens to his colleagues and gives excellent career advice and legal advice. He is genuine, friendly, intelligent and most importantly, personable. He will never ignore a phone call. In the field of law he practices, dealing with divorcing spouses is not always a walk in the park. His persona makes a difficult process as "pleasant" as it can be. While I have never seen Steve in a bankruptcy context, if his work in bankruptcy parallels his work in divorce and family matters, then he is a top notch bankruptcy attorney as well. No questions asked, should the unpleasant topic of divorce arise, Steve is the attorney you want holding your hand during the process. He is worthy of this endorsement without question."
"I highly recommend Steven Shumer to all my clients. Steve is not only an expert in his area of practice, but has an ability to relay complex and difficult ideas in a manner that is easy to comprehend and understand. This versatility is uncommon in the legal profession and separates Steven from his peers."
"I endorse this lawyer. Steve possesses the qualities that are key--and extremely rare--in the world of divorce law: a pit-bull like ferocity on behalf of his clients, coupled with the ability to lay that aggressiveness aside when a practical and collegial approach will better serve his client's ends. These attributes would mean nothing, of course, without a deep knowledge of the law and years of experience in this field, both of which Steve also has. He also has extraordinary patience and always spends the time to speak to clients and potential clients about this often complicated and emotional time in their lives. his skills and compassion truly set him apart."
"Steven is the attorney I recommend to all my clients when they have a family law matter in Nassau, Suffolk or NYC. Over the last twelve years I have gotten only positive feedback from clients with divorce, custody, or modification issues that Steven has helped. My highest reccomendation."
"I endorse this lawyer. Steven Shumer is a credit to our professional. He posses that all-too elusive combination of litigation skills, knowledge of controlling law and requisite people skills. I have referred several clients in the throws of the emotional turmoil which stems from the break up of a family to Mr. Shumer. Each time he has proven to be knowledgable, patient and compassionate. He never fails to give the time and attention required to quickly get to the heart of the matter and give the best advice to the client. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Shumer to anyone in need of legal representation in connection with a matrimonial or family court matter."
