I am an Associate Attorney at Futterman Lanza, LLP, where my practice focuses on elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid planning. With over 20 years of experience in this field, I am dedicated to helping individuals and families protect their assets, plan for long-term care, and make informed decisions about their futures.
I assist clients with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and living wills, as well as Medicaid eligibility and asset protection planning. My goal is to make the estate planning process approachable and effective—helping clients understand their options and ensuring every plan reflects their unique goals and circumstances.
Before joining Futterman Lanza, LLP in 2021, I served as a Senior Associate at Grabie & Grabie, LLP, and previously as a Partner at Michael Angiulo & Associates, LLC, where I concentrated exclusively on elder law and estate planning. Earlier in my career, I worked with several well-respected Long Island firms, including Genser Dubow Genser & Cona, LLP, and Kiernan, Angiulo & Horowitz, LLP. These experiences have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the legal, financial, and personal complexities that often arise in elder law and estate planning.
I am an active member of the New York State Bar Association, including its Elder Law and Trusts & Estates Sections, and the Elder Law & Estate Planning Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association. I also previously served as Vice President of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Bar Association.
I earned my Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law and my undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany. I am admitted to practice law in New York (since 2004) and proudly reside in the Smithtown area with my husband and two children.
I am also a contributing author to The Smithtown Messenger’s “Legal Insights” column, where I’ve written about key estate planning topics such as The Importance of Estate Planning and Understanding the Core of Estate Planning: Estates vs. Trusts.
My approach is compassionate, knowledgeable, and tailored to each client’s needs—ensuring that every family I work with feels secure and supported in planning for the future.
