I go above and beyond for my clients, and this individual was no exception. I'm sorry that she didn't recognize the effort. I worked tirelessly with her, researching and vetting doctors who might shed some light on her condition -- a condition that was actually very complex -- so complex that she had neither a clear diagnosis nor an explanation of the source of her condition. After months of trying to come up with a viable theory, I had to face the fact that without the necessary proof, I was ethically restrained from pursuing the matter further. People are insulted when lawyers are compelled to reject their cases. I was completely honest, objective and professional with this client, but she did not like my conclusions. This is the obvious undercurrent here.
