I am an attorney at Futterman Lanza, LLP, where my practice focuses on Elder Law, Estate Planning, Estate Tax Planning, Probate and Estate Administration, Trusts and Trust Administration, Estate Litigation, and Guardianships. For more than 25 years, I have helped families throughout Long Island and the greater New York area protect their assets, plan for the future, and navigate the legal complexities of aging and estate matters with clarity and compassion.
Before joining Futterman Lanza in 2022, I served as Senior Associate at Grabie & Grabie, LLP, Counsel to Taroff & Taitz, LLP, and as a partner at Sarisohn Law Partners, LLP, as well as several other distinguished Long Island firms. These experiences have given me a broad and in-depth perspective on elder law, estate planning, Medicaid planning, and trust and estate administration.
In addition to my legal practice, I am deeply engaged in the professional community. I am an active member of the Elder Law Section and Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association, and I serve on the Elder Law and Estate Planning Committee and the Surrogate’s Court Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association, where I am a former Co-Chair of the Surrogate’s Court Committee. I also serve on the Executive Board of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and as a member of the Suffolk County Office for the Aging Senior Citizen Advisory Board. For many years, I have also been honored to serve as a Court-Appointed Guardian ad Litem in the Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court.
Committed to education and leadership within the legal profession, I have taught Continuing Legal Education courses in Trusts and Estates for the Suffolk Academy of Law and the National Business Institute, and I have lectured on elder law topics at St. Joseph’s College. Staying at the forefront of evolving laws and trends is essential to my work, allowing me to provide clients with the most current and effective planning strategies available.
I am a graduate of Boston University School of Law and earned my Bachelor of Arts in History, Economics, and Asian Studies from Colgate University, where I also studied abroad in China. I am admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
Recognized among Super Lawyers in Metro New York (2024–2025) and nominated for Bethpage “Best of Long Island” in the Elder Law Attorney category, I remain devoted to helping families plan wisely, resolve disputes effectively, and protect their legacies with confidence and peace of mind.
