I contacted Heather’s office on a whim after contacting over 6 law offices and got turned down repeatedly after presenting my case. She immediately got to work; explaining every possible scenario of my case and assured me that she would do all she could to help. I was extremely happy to see how personable she was, how quickly she or anyone from her team would get back to me, and how much she kept me in the loop on all ends. I was constantly updated on my cases’s progress and for that I am grateful. She did her best in advocating for me, and we were able to settle my case in less time than expected. 10/10, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Ms. Kaplan was born in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in 2002 and was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2003.

Ms. Kaplan is an accomplished litigator and has achieved excellent results at the Workers’ Compensation Board, New York Supreme Court and at the Appellate Courts. Ms. Kaplan taught college and graduate level classes at Cornell University Satellite School and at Long Island University for a total of ten years. She taught Employment Law and Discrimination, Business Ethics and Labor, Unions & Employment Relations.

Heather Kaplan is also admitted to the United States District Court, Southern District. She is also a member of the New York Insured Workers’ Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the New York Injured Workers' Bar Association. Ms. Kaplan currently resides on Long Island with her family.

Best Lawyer Ever

Heather Kaplan and her staff did outstanding work with regards to ALL my cases with Worker’s Compensation Board. Not only did she deal with my shoulder surgery and award but she and her staff just completed the closing of (11) outstanding cases with a lump sum. She is literally a life changer!!

I am a nurse who was injured on the job, and was initially denied my workers compensation claim by the insurance carrier. I hired Heather Kaplan as my worker’s compensation attorney, who fought tooth and nail for me from the very start, not only getting my claim approved, but representing me and my best interested along the way. She made sure I would be paid while I was out of work from my injury. It was a year long process from the insurance companies process, and in the end from all of Heather’s hard work, she got me a very hefty settlement for my injury as well. I started this all, out of work with an injury, and a denied claim. Heather helped me with all of that and more. I could not thank her enough!
