I am a former Executive Assistant District Attorney and Superivsor of the DA's Criminal Trial Division, as well as the former Bureau Chief of the Vehicular Crime Bureau, supervising all homicide and serious physical injury prosectuions on our roadways. Previously I served in a similar capacity in Nassau County supervising vehicular crimes across Nassau County.
I am experienced in supervising and conducting complex, high-stakes investigations, litigation, and trials. I have been the lead trial attorney on numerous high-profile trials that have garnered significant national and regional attention, and have a track record of outstanding results, and excellence in the courtroom. It is my mission to fight fiercely for victims and victims families who have suffered personal injury or death. I fight for the voiceless in our criminal and civil systems of justice.
I previously supervised hundreds of prosecutors and staff in the Trial Division of the Suffolk County DA’s Office as the Deputy Division Chief, including the Vehicular Crime Bureau, District Court, and the Domestic Violence Unit. I served as an executive advisor to the District Attorney on matters of policy, legislation, and strategy.
I hold the distinction of being the only attorney who served in a leadership position in both the Suffolk and Nassau County DA’s Vehicular Crime Bureaus, most recently serving as the Bureau Chief in Suffolk supervising all criminal investigations of motor vehicle and boating accidents in Suffolk County resulting in serious injury or death. Before that I served in a similar capacity in the Nassau DA’s Office.
I am trained in a variety of investigative techniques, forensic disciplines, and advanced trial advocacy skills related to accident investigations. I served as a statewide faculty instructor with the New York State Prosecutors Training Institute on topics such as Accident Investigation and Reconstruction, DWI Investigation, Advanced Trial Skills, Jury Selection, Communicating with Victims, and Legal Ethics. I taught related topics at the Nassau and Suffolk County Police Academies. Over my career I have lead and participated in the investigation of thousands of DWIs and accidents involving pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles resulting in injury or death.
I have been recognized as a national and regional leader in the law. In 2021, I was invited to be a featured panel speaker on the topic of prosecutorial ethics at Hofstra Law’s Monroe H. Freedman Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics. In 2020, I was honored to be the recipient of the Robert M. Morgenthau Prosecutor of the Year Award from the the District Attorney Association of the State of NY. The award is given annually to one regional prosecutor that personifies a commitment to integrity and the tireless pursuit of justice. Also that year I was recognized by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as the National Prosecutor of the Year for my work in the area of traffic safety. In 2017 I was reconized for excellemce in my representation and legal advocacy in a high-profile murder trial that garnered national attention.
