SHAWN P. KELLEHER is a partner at BRUNO, GERBINO & SORIANO, LLP. He was born in Plainview, New York, and grew up in Selden, New York. Shawn received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, and Politics, Philosophy and Law from Binghamton University in 2004. His Juris Doctor was conferred upon him Magna Cum Laude from the Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center in 2007. Shawn P. Kelleher was admitted to practice in New York in 2008. Mr. Kelleher was also admitted to the United State District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 2008 and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 2009.
His practice concentrates in litigation involving insurance fraud, premises liability, vehicular negligence, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, property damage, and coverage analysis. Shawn also has a background in the handling of breach of contract cases, declaratory judgment actions, and commercial litigation. He also performed a variety of transactional services including real estate transactions, contracts and business agreements.
Prior to joining BRUNO, GERBINO & SORIANO, Shawn worked at two small general practice firms concentrating in complex commercial litigation as well as land use and municipal litigation. He was responsible for handling all aspects of these cases from inception to trial. Further, while in college, Mr. Kelleher interned, and was later employed, with the New York State Attorney General’s Office Consumer Frauds Division assisting Assistant Attorney Generals in the prevention of consumer fraud. While in law school, Shawn worked in Family Court representing victims of domestic violence in obtaining orders of protection.
Shawn currently lives in Northport, New York with his wife, Debra, and two children, Juliana and Madelyn. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and playing and/or watching sports, especially baseball and soccer.
