Robert Lance Rose

Robert Rose is a New York trial attorney and founding partner of Kravat & Rose PLLC, a New York trial firm handling serious injury and institutional abuse cases. He also serves as of counsel to Slater Slater Schulman LLP, a national firm representing thousands of survivors of institutional abuse.

Robert's practice focuses on claims against institutions that failed to protect the people in their custody and care. In New York, he helps survivors bring claims under New York City's Gender-Motivated Violence Act (GMVA), including women sexually abused by staff at the Rose M. Singer Center on Rikers Island and survivors of abuse at NYC juvenile facilities such as Horizon, Crossroads, and the former Spofford Juvenile Center. The GMVA's current filing window allows many survivors to bring claims today for abuse that happened years or decades ago.

Robert also assists survivors of sexual abuse at Illinois juvenile detention facilities — including the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (the "Audy Home") and Illinois Youth Centers across the state — in the ongoing wave of civil lawsuits over staff abuse at those facilities.

In addition to his institutional abuse practice, Robert represents seriously injured New Yorkers in personal injury cases, including construction accidents, motor vehicle collisions, and premises liability claims. In nearly a decade of courtroom practice he has recovered more than $20 million for his clients.
