Mary C. Pelaez

Ms. Pelaez has been on my case for over 2-1./2 years now. my case has been a nasty divorce and my husband and i are fighting over every thing including our children Early on Ms. Pelaez was fooled by my husbands charm. he has fooled many people as he is a master manipulator and has beat more people... out of money than i can count. he is a prolific liar. He will lie about the color of his shirt. Many of them sophisticated businessmen and he is an uneducated blue collar worker. Smooth talker, funny, and he take your money and you will never see him again guy. A total sociopath and narcissist that truth has no meaning to.. I was extremely frustrated with her at first. I was angry at both her and the Judge. Today, I must give credit where credit is due. She remained professional in her dealings and her handling of my children. she did not like me because of the way i behaved and partly because she believed my husband. today she is making her own informed decisions. She is a true professional. insightful, caring and detail orientated. She knows the law and is fair and hoinest.

Ms Pelaez was appointed as Guardian for my children by the court. My husband and I are responsible for her bills. I have on numerous occasions pointed out the New York State guidelines that Ms Pelaez is not meeting. Printed them out and highlighted the relevant sections. She billed me for the time... to read them but has not changed her conduct to meet the standards. Her lack of due diligence is disappointing. Furthermore, her lack of knowledge of New York State case law is disturbing. I do not recommend her for family law matters.
