Jeanne's dedication to her clients is beyond compare. This case was long and tiresome and Jeanne surpassed my expectations. I have never met an attorney who put as much time and sincere effort in as Jeanne did to my case. I would like to take the opportunity to Thank Jeanne Burton for the phenomenal job she did, representing me in an extremely intense Custody/visitation battle. I can't really articulate through words how much gratitude and Appreciation I feel. However I would be remiss if I didnt publicly acknowledge... Jeanna for her outstanding work. I knew from the beginning that her representing me was devine. I am a young Father who wanted to step up to the plate and be involved in my childs life but unfortunately I was being Alienated from my son by his mother for several years. She moved out of state and withheld most visitation and holidays. I didn't have much faith in the system so for many years I would allow my son's mother to withhold him from me. I reached out to Jeanne to represent me and within the first court date the Judge granted me summer visitation that was denied to me by the other party. Three weeks to be exact. Not to mention all the make up time for past holidays and breaks. This past year has been such a blessing for me and My son as we have rekindled our relationship and also his family who has missed out on so many great memories with him. Jeanne was truly an answed prayer.

They say everything happens for a reason so thank God when I asked the judge for another lawyer because the one assigned to me was not acting in my best interest or providing me any real defense the judge assigned Jeanne Burton. The cards were stacked against me and my daughter had been removed by C...PS almost 2 months prior when Jeanne was assigned to my case. Jeanne had my case less than 5 minutes before we went before the judge and requested documents immediately, something the first attorney assigned to me hadn't done despite having my case for 2 months. Jeanne did a lot of research on my case because there was a lot of history and a paper trail that stemmed back over 10 + years. I didn't think she would really care that she was just like everyone else and an officer of the court and I was seen as guilty despite not being guilty. Here she was a court appointed attorney whom I was not paying preparing a defense like I was an elite socialite paying her a fortune to defend me in a murder trial. The case started to drag and Jeanne requested 1028 hearing and the hearing lasted over two weeks. Jeanne had researched, gathered and prepared for this hearing like I have never seen anyone do. We talked day and night even weekends while she was preparing my case leaving " no stone unturned". I was taken back by her compassion, dedication and commitment to me and getting my daughter back. Her closing statement was lengthy, well thought of and reflected the type of lawyer and person she was all along which was a truly passionate and committed one. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic the judge's decision will be mailed to me as the courts are semi closed. Regardless to the decision and I have every confidence it will be in my favor and my daughter reunited with me. I don't have a lot of faith in people or the system due to my experiences however I believe that Jeanne Burton is the most amazing person and lawyer I have ever met. I thought because she worked for the system that she wouldn't hold them accountable. I thought because I was poor my defense would be as well but I was so wrong as my lawyer she not only exposed the broken system and called it as such she held them accountable. I hope I never needs lawyer again but if I do Jeanne Burton would be the only lawyer I would call. Trust me Jeanne Burton is truly amazing and I do not recommend anyone often but I would recommend her 100%.

I was thrilled with her at first! But her promises fell through. The day I was ready for trial, she backed out. Her excuse was she just lost a trial with another mother that should have won. and somehow convicted me to make an admission to cps and now I've been jumping through hoops for almost 8 mont...hs now. Not once does she return a phone call. She waits til last minute in court right before you walk into the courtroom. I'm so upset I did not trust my gut on this one! She does not help in any which way. I never am updated, I never receive paperwork. Not to mention the one time she did call and I missed the message, she yelled at me! I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. Just not my lawyer, nor cps! Wouldn't recommend her at all!

She fought for me from beginning to end..my 2 children were taken and she took it to a FACT FINDING TRIAL and kicked ass! My kids were immediately returned to me that day after a year of being gone..she listens to me and took notes..she never cut me off always let me speak and never judged me..she is... the BEST attorney I've ever had!!
