I would like for all to know that as a client of Mr. Penate, I would like to apologize for the review that was left by me. Thanks to Mr. Penate contacting me I now find that there was a misunderstanding between me and his office. Mr. Penate was not aware, nor had any knowledge of this situation. Paid Mr. Penate in full $500.00 to complete paper work on divorce from El Salvador. This is the total amount he stated it would cost, so I wrote a check for the full amount. In my check memo, to ensure that there were no additional money due I wrote " NO BALANCE DUE". ( I had been ripped off befor...e by another inmigration attorney on Long Island). He also stated that it would only take a few months to accomplish this simple task. Three months later he requested more MONEY. I have E-Mailed Mr. Penate with no return response. On Aug. 26,2013 @ 11:27 am I called his Hempstead office and the secretary answered. When I asked to speak with Mr. Penate she than abruptly hug the phone up on me. I have tried calling the office and no one will answer anymore. I have visited other lawyers here in nassau county who also will tell you one thing and after you pay, they then come to you needing more money. Mr. Penate cashed my check two days after issue knowing the memo stated " NO BAL. DUE". I am still awaiting a correspondence from Mr. Penate. With no balance due I expect Mr. Penat to stand by Attorney's code of ethics and contact me to solve this matter.
