Garret P. Rooney reperesented me in an unfortunate DWI situation. He was very receptive and informatve. He is the consummate professional. I highly recommend him to anyone involved in a legal matter. He knew more than the police officers about the testing, how it is to be performed, clues to lo...ok for and so on. The district attorney tried to force me into taking a plea, threatening to add more charges if i went to trial. Mr. Rooney was vey professional, handled all pre-trial hearings and conducted the trial. The jury came back with an acquittal (not guilty) on all charges. I was arrested for DWI by Amityville Police. Mr. Rooney was not my original lawyer but he did the hearings and trial for my lawyer. He was incredible, I wish I knew to hire him before I hired my original lawyer but at least my lawyer told me that if I wanted to go to trial I should use Mr. Rooney. ... He was incredible and knew more about DWI, how alcohol affects the body, how the breath machine works (and all its flaws) then any other person I spoke with about my case. My friend is a Cop in Nassau county and he told me that Mr. Rooney was the best. I'm glad I was lucky enough to get his help. I was found not guilty.
