I would like to begin by saying that I thank God for putting Amina in my path, because without her help and her very organized team they were able to fight for my rights so that I could receive full custody of my little boy. Amina did an amazing job finding Avenue and ways to get my daughter back sooner when the courts failed too make a sooner hearing date. My husband had ran off with my 5 1/2 month old baby and would not allow me to see her for 14 days. I was becoming sick at the thought of it and they helped me through... it by taking the Supreme Court route. Rather than family court which was taking forever. They executed the paper work immediately and I finally got my daughter and my ex husband gave me full custody.

I’m here to give you all a firsthand solid thorough review of Amina representing me as my family court lawyer from November 2018 to January 2020. - Yes almost 15 months! I petitioned Suffolk county family court and was trying to get to get un-supervised visits and a neutral pickup location for my... sons best interests. She represented me with great knowledge of the Family domestic relations law and procedure in family court. Her communication with me was top notch, even after I would send numerous phone calls, texts and emails of questions. she represented me with great professionalism, heart and in great detail for my case. In the end, and through a lengthy emotional trial, I did lose the trial but due to factors that were beyond my and her control. The second time around and next petition, I got what I wanted in a un-supervised visit for one of my visit days but with a condition of staying in one public location. I took what I was able to get in family court as my goal for a "baby step", as the court calls it, unsupervised visit to see my son from settlling. As tough as it is for me say and for you to bite your tongue, it is about the best interests of your son or daughter and not you! (Its hard to think about when you’re trying to get what you think is fair for your son or daughter). Amina has your best interest in mind while fighting for your rights. I must say; I never met a lawyer quite like Amina. She is the first lawyer who would call me on a Friday evening or a Saturday afternoon, or after I sent her numerous emotional texts for my case to answer my questions, and throughout all of the emotional doubt, I had in my mind, she always put me at ease. She may not get back to you in an hour but she definitely does get back to you, as she is a human being just like us, trying to manage her cases and a parent as well. She’s a great experienced lawyer and I hope to be represented by her again. I learned two things in this case. #1). Similar to a rolling stones classic song and the lyrics go something like this "You can't always get what you want [in family court], But if you try sometime you find, You get what you need." and #2) You don’t always get to find out Why from a judge or your own lawyer, you just get 75% of what you asked for because if you dont settle, the judge may order you less. My advice? If your searching for a great lawyer, you should choose Amina for any custody , visitation or family matter. - If you don’t, I strongly suggest you go see a doctor asap because you need to get your head examined after not hiring her and walking away from a great fighting trial lawyer like her. You won’t regret having her represent you!
