I paid this attorney $3,000 to represent me in my case, and I am extremely disappointed with how my court appearance was handled. I had a scheduled hearing today, but my attorney was not present because she was participating in another virtual hearing at the same time. As a result, my hearing now has... to be rescheduled. This is especially upsetting because this case directly affects my ability to see my children, whom I have already been unable to see for months. Every additional delay matters tremendously. I hired and paid an attorney because I expected reliable representation, preparation, and attendance at scheduled court appearances. Instead, I was left wondering, what exactly did I pay $3,000 for if my attorney could not be available for my scheduled hearing? I found this experience highly unprofessional and unacceptable. When someone is dealing with a serious family matter involving their children, they should be able to depend on their attorney to prioritize scheduled court appearances and communicate clearly about any conflicts. I am extremely frustrated that I now have to endure another delay because of a scheduling issue that was outside of my control.
