Some background: I had paid my retainer to Michael's law firm (J&C) several years ago for an EB-1A petition, and my dormant application (mostly through my own procrastination regarding its strength) had already cycled through one attorney (who did not inform me when he left the firm). I finally buckl...ed down and drafted reference letters for my petition and contacted my then attorney to review. I found out that he too had left the firm without informing me. I was understandably a bit demoralized. Enter Michael. I was initially skeptical given his limited prior experience. But over the next 6 months or so, he very pleasantly surprised me and won me over with his knowledge, diligence, and speed. He was also very meticulous and resourceful, and his communication was always to the point. He had a great idea to draft a couple more reference letters that further strengthened my application. Once I gave him all the application material from my end, he turned around my I-140 application very quickly and submitted it within a week. In spite of paying for premium processing, what followed was an extended period of confusion and uncertainty. USCIS decided to send me an RFE for a very weak reason, but we did not receive the actual RFE until more than 2 months later. And when it came, there was not enough time provided to respond either. While my instinct was to fight for more time, Michael wisely suggested that since it was a weak RFE, we would be better off responding right away. Which we did, and I promptly got my I-140 approval around a week later. In summary, I strongly recommend Michael to anyone navigating an EB-1A petition. I have no doubt that he will bring the same diligence, speed and resourcefulness that he brought for my petition.
