I am currently going through the most embarrassing situation of my life - filing chapter 7 while dealing with financial turmoil. The last thing I would have ever thought that I would be doing is writing a review for our lawyer. But Stuart Gelberg is a "rare find" and I feel like karma has brought me ...to this website to give back to him in a way that he has given to me. Aside from the fact that he was strongly recommended to me from a few coworkers and associates, My wife and I found Stuart had excellent credentials, he practices with extreme efficiency and he emphasized that it was imperative to him that we fully grasp what lies ahead. He gave us more than our allotted time to give us a full understanding of the procedures ahead, his fees, and the paperwork he demands for us to supply his office in order for him to take on our case with confidence. Gathering up the required documents was agonizing, and in the small time frame given was not fun. But when we were done, he walked us through his specially designed approach to our specific case and we immediately realized his brilliance. We were overly prepared, so much so that even we were able to walk into the court, confident in our lawyer and our case.. This is all aside from the basics - he is very personable, quite funny, but most importantly, whether you can tell or not, HE CARES about your case, and he will guide you through the letter of the law, and to the best of his abilities. He has a good heart and an excellent staff on hand that will turn a nightmare like bankruptcy into a fresh start with a new friend in Garden City. Thank you Stuart.
