Michele Augusta Baptiste

Michele Baptiste is a distinguished attorney, practicing law in New York State for over two decades. Her career initiated at the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Labor Relations, where she skillfully managed labor arbitrations and conducted Step 3 grievance hearings. Michele’s legal skills broadened in 2002 with her tenure at labor and employment law firms in Nassau and Suffolk County. Here, she delved into sexual harassment investigations and represented clients in numerous proceedings, such as Education Law §3020-a hearings, mediations, and both state and federal court hearings. Her judicial experience includes serving as an Administrative Law Judge for the NYC Department of Finance. Michele’s commitment to diversity is highlighted by her roles as Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX Coordinator, addressing discrimination and harassment complaints in educational institutions. Her legal practice is comprehensive, focusing on areas like Labor and Employment Law, Education Law, Mortgage Foreclosure Defense, and more.
