I have only the most positive things to say about my experience with Melissa Studin Young as my lawyer. I interviewed countless lawyers, and spoke with others who had retained various lawyers, and chose to go with Melissa. I did not regret that decision for a second. From start to finish Melissa show...ed compassion, confidence and capability. I felt like she truly had my back, my children's best interests at heart, and knew how to get the job done. She demonstrated skill and thoroughness in the courtroom, and ultimately worked to attain a settlement that was beneficial for all, and kept us out of a lengthy trial unnecessarily. Furthermore, she/her office were very fair and transparent with fees (which is a big deal and from what I hear unfortunately often not the case). Melissa Studin Young is an amazing attorney. She is tenacious, organized, honest and always thinks outside the box. I had a very tough case where the father of my children resorted to all forms of lying and cheating the system in order to avoid paying any child support. He was adamant about making ...my children and I suffer. When I came in for a consult, Melissa didn't try to sugarcoat anything. She told me what my chances were, she gave me perspective on what I am dealing with, the obstacles we might face and the variety of things that can happen throughout the case. She was extremely informative and honest each step of the way. Although the outcome looked grim, she fought! She fought hard! She used every possible opportunity to help the judge see exactly what was going on here, and she did it with grace! She didn't have to be rude, or harsh, or resort to bad mouthing my ex, etc.. Instead, she did her research, she put her heart and soul into the case, she remembered even the smallest details from the beginning of the case and knew how and when to use them. The other side used lies and arrogance to try to intimidate us, and it would have worked with an unprepared and/or inexperienced attorney; but not Melissa! She was strong, determined and prepared for all of the obstacles that we faced and I will be forever grateful to her. The result I got was far more than either of us even expected. I hope to never need her services again honestly, however she is the only one I have and will continue to recommend. She will always have my loyalty!
