Meghan Kearns focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense. She manages matters from start to finish, working with clients from case opening through settlement or trial to efficiently resolve claims disputes. Meghan is experienced in discovery research, pre-trial document preparation, motion drafting, and pre-trial and settlement conferences.
Previously, Meghan worked as a legal fellow in Washington D.C. to Congressman Joe Wilson, and then to Congresswoman Claudia Tenney. While on Capitol Hill, she met with constituents and foreign diplomats, conducted in-depth case law research, and drafted documents in accordance with the House Commission on Congressional Mailing Standards.
As a student at Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Meghan served as an Articles Editor on the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Law Journal. In addition, her note, “Getting the Gold But Losing the Money: Taxing Olympic Cash Prizes,” was published in the Willamette University Sports Law Journal.
