This lawyer was recommended by a lawyer in his buildin. It was a rush and my last resort. He took my money and played games and caused more harm in my case. He yelled at me several times. He sat in court talking of his own divorce to all. Putting down his ex which is unprofessional. He lied to me sev...eral times. I even had 2 well known attorneys tell me to get my money back and go before he caused more damages. He is only about money. He can careless of his clients and lies through his teeth to get your retainer. He uses money on nonsense and depletes it so fast. He put liens in and it’s funny he hasn’t put in for that on any other cases. You will loose all with him. He talks a good talk. He threaten me not it give me my file until he is paid. He gave me more work with now fighting him on his malpractice and lies. He is a thief. He will do anything for a dollar. He has no best interest of his clients. He lied about putting in motions and screwed me and my case. He dragged out unnecessary things to just charge and charge. He will say he will do this and that and won’t. He understood what I had and took me for a ride. He promised this and that and when money was gone became very aggressive. He got more mad when he got called out on things and told 3 times not to yell at me like I’m his child! No wonder why he got divorced himself. And poor woman talking about it to others in court while being their for a client. He cares less of your kids well being or yourself. Please do not fall for this currupt, crooked attorney. He will rob you blind and do nothing in your best interest. Once you question in or point out his faults he will act like a child. He isn’t professional at all. He was late to all. He lied on another matter and said he said someone else which he didn’t. Look at your billing and question all. I will be fighting him now for justice.

Mr. Scharoff represented me in a very long, complex and painful divorce case, and did not pull any punches in managing my expectations. Mr Scharoff represented me in my divorce. My initial impressions were that he was knowledgeable and encouraging. Well after retaining him I found him to be completely unprofessional on many levels. In the initial stages of the divorce on 2 occasions I received a phone call that he couldn't appear an...d other lawyers would be handling the case that day. There were many occasions at court where I was waiting hours for the lawyers to speak to the judge (never saw the judge once..divorce settled). While there, I wanted to discuss my case. He was almost always unavailable. On one occasion I called him out on it and I was dismissed by him. He then resumed discussing other case with other attorneys. I was in a custody dispute. My ex-wife was a non working spouse. We had a conference scheduled between myself and ex-wife, her and my lawyer, my daughters lawyer (my wife & daughters lawyer are at my expense too.) Mr Sharoff was over 40 minutes late to the meeting which not only added to his bill but also the 2 other attorneys. The meeting was rushed as the other attorneys had other commitments and thought was wasted time as a result. Promises to adjust the bill for his and their time resulted in "lets have a conference" which never happened. I did have one conference to adjust a different billing conflict. I was then billed for the conference to discuss the bill(it was removed once I caught it). My Ex wife and I ended up not going to court and we signed a divorce agreement. My ex wife was obsessed with getting the finalized agreement signed off by the judge. Upon filing the papers Mr Scharoff set my expectations that he would get the court stamped copies but it takes several months to a year. He said he would check weekly and provide them when issued. I had already paid him a substantial sum. I was to pay him the balance upon completion of the case. My ex was hounding me and making my life miserable because she didn't have the final papers in hand. After months of calls to Mr Scharoffs office who stated they didn't have it yet,I went down to the court to check the status personally. Low and behold I got 2 stamped copies that had been signed by the judge months before. I couldn't believe that I was ignored in this fashion. The only time they reached out is when I didn't settle the balance. I explained (to his assistant) that he did not deliver the final product which caused a tremendous amount of conflict. I told his assistant that I was inclined not to pay. He has been sending me invoices for over the last couple of years, adding interest to each bill monthly. I finally received a letter from a collection agency. I have just got my credit back form my divorce and now he is threatening that. I would ask you if you think I should recommend his services or report him to the bar association?

Mr.Scharoff represented me during the worst time of my life, a divorce after 25 years. My wife and I were quite successful and had many assets to divide. Never once did he take advantage of my financial situation, he was always fair and gave me straight advice as to what would be worth fighting for ...and what I would be wasting my money on. My many phone calls were always responded to within a timely manner as well as my emails. I was never made to feel rushed and always felt like a top priority. This attorney is one of the best I have come across on every level. A straight shooter with my best interests at heart and not his own. A rare find !
