My Name is Darrin I'm A retired NYCPD Lieutenant I been involved in Family Court for closed to 6 years involving Child Custody of my Daughter Now 6 years Old ..I was extremely Disappointed and frustrated with How the System in particularly The Referee( Judge ) and more importantly the Lawyers I had ...hirer prior to Attorney David Schnall My Disappointment was how obviously bias the Referee( Judge) seem to be I had heard that Fathers do poorly in these family Courts but I thought surely that's exaggerated abd to my chagrin I discovered that indeed their is Conscious or perhaps an Unconscious bias in that it seemed what I had to say and offer was irrelevant to The Judge I became frustrated as every Attorney I hired stated things at initial hiring interview encouraging Me that they would fight vigorously so that I would retain them and then perform in totally opposite at hearing and upon confronting them after their performance at hearing They ALL would stating that family Court is really A kangaroo court, that I'm not able as A father to really be heard by A court Dominated By Female working Mothers ( as Judges/Referees) I have hired 3 Attorneys and paid consulting fees to Two other Attorney Prior to Meeting and hiring David Schnall The Prior 3 Attorneys that I hired ALL TOOK my MONEY and didn't even Bother to present my case, My position on Why I should have Custody in fact One of the Attorney whom made me all types of promises of his due diligence failed to even present one article of evidence to sway the judge to grant me custody ..NOT EVEN basic Photographs of me and My Daughter ...So when I again sort an Attorney to represent me in A hearing I didn't have high or even moderate expectation. I assume MR, David Schall would be the same as all those other Lawyers tell you everything you want to hear at the initial meeting in order for you to sign a retainer ..and then you wouldn't hear from them until right before your hearing date where they wouldn't truly know in-depth your case or your positions on issues . David Schnall was phenomenal at that first meeting. He looked sharp and more importantly he was confident and STRAIGHT FORWARD, He also interacted with me in A manner that seem really personal Like he saw me He heard me Like I said I'm a retire NYC Police officer having served 20 years On patrol I'm use to hearing BS. I can detect dishonesty ..MR David Schnall registered as truthful However I still had my doubts as I had been BURNED SERVERLY and those of you whom are UNFORTUANELY in family court understand what I'm talking about ...MR David Schnall has performed in court on MY BEHAVE and that of my Child far BEYOND my expectation and what I had thought possible at my LAST HEARING MR David Schnall Performed Brilliantly He seized control of the process( The hearing) and obtain and WON EVERY POINT AND CONDITION I DESIRE while simultaneously having ALL the petitioner's motions and modification dismissed I have been in family court over 5 years and this was THE FIRST TIME I truly was heard through representation and UPON being HEARD through MR David Schnall VOICE. The Referee for the FIRST TIME RULED COMPLETELY IN MY FAVOR!!!!!! I'm so glad I was able to reconnect with David Schnall after many years. He has done miracles for me and my family. Every court appearance resulted in a win. He handled my Child Custody, Family Offense Restraining Order, & Child Support. In addition he was able to handle all the ACS related issues th...at my ex was trying to throw my way. In the end I was granted Sole Custody and Permanent 2 year max restraining order from my ex. Very intelligent lawyer. He didn't skip at any objections thrown his way. Always made sure to be prepared prior to every appearance and familiarize himself with the case on hand. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
