As a judicial clerk (former commercial division law clerk) in the NYS courts for 25 + years (31 + years total practice), Mr. Timken successfully negotiated, and settled thousands of cases and drafted decisions on dispositive motions in commercial contract, business disputes, real estate, personal injury, medical malpractice, consumer credit and foreclosure matters, and consumer disputes. He assisted judges in conducting hundreds of trials in both commercial and bodily injury cases.

Mr. Timken completed Basic Mediator Training at the New York Center for Interpersonal Development in Mar 2018, Advanced Mediator Training at New York Peace Institute in Feb 2019, Advanced Commercial Mediator Training at the New York City Bar Association in June 2019, Commercial Arbitrator Training offered by the NYS Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section in Jun 2017, Part 137 Attorney Fee Dispute Arbitration Training offered by the NYS Unified Court System in Nov 2017, and FINRA Arbitrator Training offered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in June 2018. He serves as a Part 137 fee-dispute arbitrator of fee disputes between attorneys and clients and a small-claims arbitrator in NY County .

Mr. Timken attended the Trinity School in Manhattan, Columbia College, and received a BA from City University of New York at Queens College, and a JD from St. John's University School of Law. He is a lifelong New Yorker. #mediator, #arbitrator, #adr
