I hired Hasan Malik in March 2025 for a flat-fee uncontested divorce and paid him $1,400 through Zelle. He agreed to prepare and file the divorce paperwork and draft a Stipulation of Settlement. After seven months, nothing was filed with the court and I was never shown any draft of the document I rep...eatedly asked for. Every time I followed up, he told me he would send it “later today” or “next week,” but he never did. Communication was very poor. He often did not answer calls, and when he did, the responses were brief and unhelpful. He also did not provide a written retainer agreement, which I later learned is required. After I terminated his services, my sister visited his office to request a refund. Instead of explaining or showing any work, he told her we were “rushing” him, even though I had been waiting since March with no progress. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this attorney. I am now pursuing a refund and formal complaint. I recommend you do the same if you hired this man, he cannot go on doing this to people.

He take my commercial case. I deposits to him the amount of $2000.00 but as of today he not able to get a hearing date because the Court was denied his incomplete and unprofesational application. I am keep calling and taxting him but no ensure. I tough he died by Corona covid-19since he don't pick up... my phone call. One day i found him a different office in Jackson height and he said he had Corona positive that's why he don't pick phone call. Which is March 2021. anyway. He promise me he going to get a hearing date but After that he not picking up my phone. He steals my mone loss my Money $2000.00 plust another $25.000.00 and my time.

Contacted him about a real estate lease transfer. A family friend referred him so gave him a call. Couldn’t find anything about him online though I found his website maliklawoffices.com later which says call for a free consultation. So the call went fine and he forwarded his email address for me to s...end a copy of the lease. He also mentioned that his fee depends on the amount of work but also that for my case it should be around $1000. It took me a week to get the lease from the other party and I emailed it to him stating that I would like to move forward ASAP. It was Friday 5pm. There was no reply or acknowledgement so gave him a call but didn’t pick up. Also texted him but no reply. Finally a at about 8pm my wife gave him a call from her number which he did pick up. So she again mentioned the same case at the end of which he said it will cost around $1500 to which she said it was a bit high. So it sounded like he wasn’t interested in the case anymore so I texted him to please ignore the message and the email(to which the lease was attached) because we weren’t going forward with the case(with him), to which he replied “no problem. Already Ignored”. Remember he didn’t reply to my email, call or text before. Fair enough if he wasn’t interested in the case anymore but after asking someone to forward a document and to just “ignore” them when they do, whatever may be the reason, is unprofessional in my opinion. The fee is not really an issue for us but reliability is. Subtle it might be but this kind of attitude is something you should be wary of while choosing a lawyer we have found out the hard way from another lawyer we hired before.
