Scott Bookstein

Scott is a very knowledgeable and skilled criminal defense atty. I had been charged with a misdemeanor for being attacked while the perp lied to the police and filed a false report. I could not believe it. I was in touch with another lawyer who thought he could negotiate it down; however, a dismis...sal was not likely. I talked to Scott over the phone and he asked me to come in for a consultation. Scott did not charge me for a consultation, but instead offered to represent me for a flat fee which was quite reasonable. This alleviated the blind-eye aspect of an ever increasing legal bill should this turn protracted in some way. Scott was confident that he could help me. He had extensive experience in the Bronx DA's office including as a Supervisor and was quite experienced with the Queens DA office. Throughout the whole process, Scott told me what to expect and defended me in Court. Essentially guiding me through this ordeal. In the end, Scott was able to have the charges dismissed. If you want a lawyer who will defend you and "go to bat" for you, then I wholeheartedly recommend Scott Bookstein as your lawyer.

A few months ago I called Mr. Bookstein over the phone about my case. I had called 15+ top Avvo attorneys that weekend. Most of them wouldn't discuss my case unless I went to meet with them and paid a consultation fee. That weekend, Mr. Bookstein and I spoke twice, he spent a considerable amount of t...ime with me over the phone reassuring me that my case was not that bad and that I would be ok. My case wasn't that bad, however anytime you're arrested or charged with something you think and feel like it's the end of the world!!! That's when you want to make sure you have a competent lawyer and someone who listens and cares about your case. You don't want to feel like your a number and you want to trust the person who will be representing you. I have no doubt Scott Bookstein is that type of attorney. I did not hire Mr. Bookstein simply because of location, he was in Queens, I live in Manhattan. I wanted an attorney close to where I live. I write this review because I think he deserves the recognition for his knowledge and for his kindness and professionalism. I interviewed a lot of lawyers, did a lot of research and I truly believe Mr. Bookstein would have been a great choice and is a very good choice for anyone who needs an attorney. Call him!
