Looking back, retaining him was the biggest mistake I made. Throughout my representation, I repeatedly felt th...at I was not given the information I needed to make informed decisions. Critical deadlines, disclosure obligations, and the practical consequences of my plea agreement were not adequately explained to me. I was left believing things would happen one way, only to later learn the situation was very different. My family was also involved in many of these conversations. Based on what I was told, we believed my home and other assets would not be at risk in the way they ultimately became. The outcome left my family shocked and devastated. I trusted Mr. Dayan when he told me the plea agreement was the best deal available. I relied on that advice because I believed he was protecting my interests. Looking back, I wish I had sought additional opinions before signing anything. Communication was another major issue. I often felt I had to chase answers instead of receiving updates. When I raised concerns, I left many conversations feeling dismissed rather than heard. Everything changed after I hired Jeffrey Lichtman and his team. They immediately became involved, worked with the government, corrected problems, prepared detailed objections, and fought aggressively on my behalf. They accomplished things I did not think were still possible at that stage of my case and gave me confidence that my interests were finally being protected. My advice to anyone facing a federal case is simple: interview multiple federal defense attorneys before making a decision. Do not rely on one opinion when your freedom, your family, and your future are on the line. This review reflects my personal experience and the impact it had on me and my family.
