Btzalel Barak Hirschhorn

Btzalel (“Ben”) Hirschhorn is the Head of the Creditor’s Rights and Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group at Shiryak, Bowman, Anderson, Gill and Kadochnikov LLP. He provides counsel to secured and unsecured creditors, landlords, lessees, Debtors in Possession, and other stakeholders navigating complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.

With experience in litigating claim objections, avoidance actions, contested 2004 Examinations, stay violations, and valuation hearings, Ben offers nationwide creditor representation, including cases in states such as Alabama, Georgia, California, Maryland, Oregon, and Texas.

As the host of the Bankruptcy with Ben podcast, he covers current trends in bankruptcy law and has lectured on the emerging field of Merchant Cash Advances and its intersection with bankruptcy.

In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Ben handles complex real estate litigation in New York state courts, representing borrowers in foreclosures, real estate ownership disputes, quiet title actions, partition actions, deed fraud disputes, fraudulent conveyances, and adverse possession actions.

Dedicated to giving back to the legal community, Ben mentors aspiring professionals and contributes his knowledge by judging mock court competitions for students ranging all the way from high school through law school.
