Be aware

Imagine if you are a person with limited English ability and don't have access to your own research and you just simply believe in whatever she says - you making a big mistake. She told me I can't apply for a waiver (I751form) based on marriage with a divorce because my divorce is not finalized. Sh...e was advising me to : Wait until divorce is finalized and then send a form, wait even if my conditional green card is about to expire (which puts me on removal from country immidietly and if not - I have to proof, why I was late with filling a form on time). Or file a waiver as extreme hardship because : air quality in my country of origin is worse than New York or I do not have enough money to fly back home. Which extreme hardship reasons are : war, political issues in country of origin. You suppose to proof to goverment you are a productive resident, who is eligible to stay here. Not that you don't have money for ticket and you are poor! Waisted money, she didn't tell me nothing I didn't know. Glad I had my own judgement. I filed a waiver based on marriage with divorce while it wasn't completed in court. They processed my case, issued me a receipt of case, extended my green card.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
