David Alejandro Ortiz

David A. Ortiz, a Queens County native, born of Colombian and Peruvian parents, is a conscientious attorney who understands the plight that clients and their families suffer during the divorce process. Mr. Ortiz is employed by the Law Offices of Donald Mastrodomenico, P.C. He is a former court attorney for the Supervising Justice of the Matrimonial Parts in Bronx County, the Honorable La Tia W. Martin. Mr. Ortiz was helped manage the daily matrimonial calendar and conferenced the numerous matrimonial cases that were scheduled to appear before the Part. He facilitated settlements between parties in contentious divorce actions by narrowing the issues and by offering his knowledge of the law to resolve any remaining issues. Mr. Ortiz also helped draft decisions on motions concerning all types of procedural and substantive issues of law for the Judge’s review, including decisions after trial that required reviewing all submitted evidence and testimony. Mr. Ortiz has encountered almost all matrimonial issues that could arise in a divorce action, having thoroughly researched and drafted decisions for a Supreme Court Matrimonial Justice.
