I contacted Wendy for a consultation. She returned my call after almost two weeks and two phone attempts from me. She showed up to her office over two hours late for our consultation, without even attempting to contact me by phone. The receptionist had to call her on her cell phone and notify her tha...t I was waiting. She notified the receptionist that she was running late but not how late. She didn't have the decency to call me to tell me the same. She was inattentive during the consultation. She took notes straight from my petition but didn't ask me any additional questions. She followed up a week later with the retainer agreement via email, in which she spelled my last name wrong. I requested that she correct the spelling of my name. She forwarded the revised copy of the retainer with one correction. My name was still spelled wrong over eight more times throughout the document. I have a simple last name. Furthermore, she had copies of all of my court documents with my name on it. There's absolutely no reason why she should have made that error. Long story short, first impressions mean a lot. Wendy showed enough red flags for me not to retain her legal services.
