Ms. Fischer-Harbage handled my late mother's estate. Even though there was a trust component to her esate, the process should have been relativey simple. Unfortunately the lawyer who wrote the will and his firm screwed up badly in several instances--to the extent that a legal malpractice strategy aga...insst them was seriously considered. Laura was the pefect lawyer--and person--to untangle the mess. Laura was diligent, hard-working, a great communciator and collaborator. She took the time necessary to explain things, she offered solutions and options. Her stable of ancillary professsionals (other lawyers, accountants, etc.) were equally excellent, effective, and responsive. While her touting her professionalism and legal expertise are really the most important and pertinent things for this forum, I can add that she is a kind and warm human being. I would recommend--and have on several occasions--Ms. Fischer-Harbage's professional services without reservation to anything who was looking for a great lawyer.

I met Laura at a church meeting about estate planning and was favorably Impressed. I am elderly and experiencing health problems and wanted a consultation about placing property into a charitable trust or donating it for a charitable annuity. At present, the property is in a revocable trust and I ...am dissatisfied with one of my executors. Laura knew nothing about charitable trusts and referred me elsewhere. Further, she had determined without consulting me, that she would send two people, a man and a woman, one of whom I was to choose as a replacement executor! In addition, she would make medical decisions in the event I became incapacitated! Most attorneys do not charge or charge a modest fee for initial consultation. I paid her $1500 for this virtually worthless 2 hours. In addition, when I requested return of papers I left with her, there was a run around with a lost UPS delivery until I got the papers.
