How do you know if you did not get the receipt that the application was accepted? If you do have some proof, make an Info pass appointment to clear...

I checked my case status online at the USCIS website and it says they sent me a notice requesting more evidence and information

There is no deadline for them generally. So, check with them in a couple of months if you do not hear anything back...
